Badges for New Zealand Scout Jamboree at Mystery Creek, 2020

We have just returned from the 22nd New Zealand Scout Jamboree at Mystery Creek, Hamilton, where I was a staff member organising a couple of activities.

Last year we made a number of badges for troops attending this triennial event. These included woven, embroidered, and printed items. Several badges were manufactured with luminous (glow in the dark) thread. The total number made was 51400 units over 56 different badges/items. 30 of the 83 jamboree troops were supplied with 40 different badges. (Sets of badges were popular). The average order size of the troop badges was almost 1200, which is slightly larger than for the previous jamboree. Also shown in the photo are some personal badges made for swapping at the jamboree, plus a couple of activity badges.
