RNZAF Hercules retirement patch

The last of the fleet of C-130H(NZ) Hercules aircraft has been retired today, 31 January 2025, after 60 years of service.  A couple of badges have been made to mark this occasion.  (One patch has metallic gold thread woven in the design). A supersonic badge

Belgique Badges recently made another badge for Dawn Aerospace, this time featuring the Mk-II Aurora.  Last week this aircraft achieved flew supersonic for the first time, while at an 85 degree climb (as shown on the badge), reaching a maximum speed of Mach 1.1 and an altitude of 82,500 ft (25km), making it the first civil aircraft to fly supersonic since the Concorde.

Woven manufacturing allows designs with a lot of fine detail to be best replicated in a badge. Because woven badges are sewn onto uniforms and garments, they can also be easily removed and replaced with new or updated badges.
